Hope Ranch is a private community of about 750 homes west of Santa Barbara, with its own security patrol, its own beach, and roughly twenty miles of bridle trails that run between properties and down to Laguna Blanca.
Lots are large by coastal standards and many are zoned for horses. The architecture runs from 1920s Spanish Colonial to mid-century ranch to new construction, most of it set well back from the road behind hedges and oaks.
Membership in the Hope Ranch Park Homes Association comes with ownership and grants access to the private beach. The La Cumbre Country Club, Laguna Blanca School, and the Five Points shops are all within a few minutes.
